Spring is in full swing and there are many events in the East Valley that families can attend to take advantage of the nice weather and seasonal fun.

-            Eastmark Spring Boutique

o   When: March 7 from 9:00am to 1:00pm

o   Location: Eastmark Great Park

o   Activities: paint your own flower pot and free balloon art! 

o   Cost: Free!

Mesa:

-            Baseball Block Party

o   When: Saturday, March 7 from 11:00am to 3:00pm

o   Location: Downtown Mesa – Macdonald and Main

o   Activities: kids games and activities, beer garden, and live music to celebrate the start of spring training in the Valley!

o   Cost: Free!

 

-            CycloMesa

o   When: March 28 from 9:00am to 2:00pm

o   Location: Downtown Mesa – 20 E. Main Street Mesa, AZ

o   Activities: a family-friendly bicycle festival invites everyone to enjoy an active day celebrating bikes and community

o   Cost: Free!

 

-            Celebrate Mesa

o   When: April 11 from 10:00am to 2:00pm

o   Location: Pioneer Park – 526 E. Main Street Mesa, AZ

o   Activities: family friendly activities TBD

o   Cost: Free!
 

-            Arizona Renaissance Festival

o   When: Saturdays and Sundays until March 29, 2026; 10:00am to 6:00pm

o   Location: 12601 E. US Highway 60, Gold Canyon, AZ

o   Activities: immersive and interactive elements of the historical time period of the Renaissance. Games, rides, jousting knights, falconry, mermaids and fairies, dragons, pub crawls and more! 200 craft shops, 16 stages with entertainment await.

o   Cost: tickets are available online for $36 for adults and $24 for children.

o   Other fun facts: Children ages 4 and under are free! Purchase tickets at Bashas and Food City to save $1 on children and adult tickets. Parking is free! 
 

-            Cactus League Spring Training

o   When: February 20 to March 24

o   Location: across the Valley – Mesa, Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, Peoria, Goodyear, Surprise

o   Activities: the Valley hosts 15 Major League Baseball teams each spring – catch a gate at one of the many parks and see teams like the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, and more!

o   Cost: varies by team and ballpark


Chandler:

-            Downtown Chandler Barbeque Festival

o   When: March 7 and 8; 11:00am to 8:00pm and 11:00am to 6:00pm

o   Location: Dr. A.J. Chandler Park - 3 S. Arizona Avenue Chandler, AZ

o   Activities: fun BBQ competitions, Arizona craft beers, craft cocktails and whiskey, and full days of live music

o   Cost: ranges from $18 to $25 – presale tickets are available in advance and online. Kids 6 and under are free! Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are available online.

o   Other fun facts: hosted by SanTan Brewing Company. BBQ Vendors include Caldwell County BBQ, Honey Bears BBQ, Tom’s BBQ, Just the Tip, Wood Barn BBQ, Back Alley BBQ, Little Miss BBQ, and Wild BBQ. 
 

-            Spring Spectacular

o   When: March 7 from 9:00am to 1:00pm

o   Location: ASU Chandler Innovation Center – 249 E. Chicago Street Chandler, AZ

o   Activities: this family-friendly event will have craft activities for all ages, outdoor fun, giveaways, community connections, music, and dancing.

o   Cost: Free!

 

-            Chandler Chamber Ostrich Festival

o   When: March 13-15 and March 20-22

o   Location: Rawhide Western Town – 5700 W. North Loop Rd Chandler, AZ

o   Activities: based on Chandler’s early history of ostrich ranching, celebrate the city’s past with games, rides, ostriches, concerts, and more! There will be BMX demonstrations, lumberjack shows, circus acts, pig races, bounce houses, food trucks, and more!

o   Cost: Adult admission for ages 13+ is $35; child admission for ages 5 to 12 is $22; VIP admission is $118 and includes access to the VIP area, front stage viewing areas, private bar, VIP restrooms, 1 meal and 2 drinks.

Ride tickets are $1 per ticket (rides range from 3-10 tickets); unlimited ride wristband also available for $40. Tickets are available online. 

o   Other fun facts: Bashas and Food City locations will also have tickets for the festival - $30 for adult, $20 for child admission, $160 for Family Pack – 2 adults, 2 children and 2 unlimited ride wristbands; $35 unlimited ride wristbands.  Small and clear bag policies are in place. No outside food/drink (except sealed water bottles). GA tickets include access to the concerts and rides.
 

Gilbert:

-            Boots in the Park

o   When: March 21 doors open at 12:00pm

o   Location: Gilbert Regional Park – 3005 E. Queen Creek Road Gilbert, AZ

o   Activities: artists this year include Keith Urban, Dustin Lynch, Mitchell Tenpenny, MacKenzie Carpenter, Bryan Martin, and more!

o   Cost: General admission starts at $104, VIP is $224

o   Other fun facts: the event will also include line dancing, local food, drinks, and cornhole tournaments. Paid onsite parking will be available. 
 

-            The Superstition Festival

o   When: March 14 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm

o   Location: Gilbert Civic Center - 50 E. Civic Center Drive Gilbert, AZ

o   Activities: local beers, spirits, and cider plus local vendors, live music, a book fair, and more!

o   Cost: $45 – includes entry to festival and 10 drink tickets

o   Other fun facts: ample parking is available at the Civic Center parking lot. No pets are permitted. 


-            S.A.F.E. Public Safety Day

o   When: March 28 from 9:00am to 12:00pm

o   Location: Gilbert Public Safety Training Facility – 6860 S. Power Road Gilbert, AZ

o   Activities: Sensory Awareness Family Event (S.A.F.E) public safety day is an opportunity for individuals with special needs to connect with Gilbert firefighters and police officers in a calm, sensory safe environment. There will be a fire truck ride-along, mock police traffic stops, and a chance to try on police and fire gear

o   Cost: Free!

o   Other fun facts: free parking is available. 
 

-            Gilbert Global Village Festival

o   When: April 11 from 9:00am to 2:00pm

o   Location: Gilbert Civic Center Lawn – 50 E. Civic Center Drive Gilbert, AZ

o   Activities: a multicultural celebration for all ages celebrating diversity in our community. There will be stage entertainment, a Parade of Nations at 11:30am, Explore a Nation booths, religions of the world, taste of nations, and a market.

o   Cost: Free!

o   Other fun facts: a sensory friendly space will be available on site.


Queen Creek:

-            Spring into QC

o   When: March 28 from 9:00am to 1:00pm

o   Location: Frontier Family Park - 20039 S 220th St, Queen Creek, AZ

o   Activities: fun family entertainment and egg hunt. Activities include a tot spot, mini golf, laser tag, kite decorating, entertainment, and animal races.

o   Cost: pre-sale wristband tickets until March 16 are $12.50 – day of event is $15.

o   Other fun facts: Pre-sale wristbands may be picked up the day of event or at the Queen Creek Recreation & Aquatic Center March 23 to 27. Wristbands include access to mini golf, laser tag, kite decorating, and family fun zone. Check the parking and shuttle map on the QC website.

Other:

-            Tempe Spring Festival of the Arts

o   When: March 13-15; Friday – Saturday 10:00am to 5:30pm & Sunday 10:00am to 4:30pm

o   Location: 1 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ

o   Activities: showcasing over 350 artists from around the country, there will be artist booths, food trucks, entertainment, beer & wine

o   Cost: Free!

o   Other fun facts: this event is dog friendly. Parking is available at one of the many garages in the Tempe area 


-            2026 NCAA Women’s Final Four in Phoenix

o   When: April 3 and April 5

o   Location: Mortgage Matchup Center - 201 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix, AZ

o   Activities: the women’s college basketball semifinals and National Championship Game will both be held in downtown Phoenix.

o   Cost: Free weekend events, tickets to games available online

o   Other fun facts: there will also be free fan events the weekend of April 2 through 5 with block parties, practices, and concerts 


-            Country Thunder Arizona

o   When: April 9-12

o   Location: AZ Talio Ranch- 20585 E. Water Way Florence, AZ

o   Activities: A weekend full of country performances from Lainey Wilson, Gavin Adcock, Brooks & Dunn, Scotty McCreery, and many more!

o   Cost: tickets are available online starting around $150 for single day tickets

o   Other fun facts: camping sites and hotel combo packages are also available for purchase.
